Dennis dropped the bike off at Dynotech on Tuesday 4th April 2000. The boys ran it in for me, then did a quick test run.
It's making a healthy 82.4 horsepower straight out of the crate on unleaded fuel. That's as much as we've ever seen out of my previous TZ, after much tuning and tweaking. It can only get better from here.
The bike cost me a vast amount of money, so much that I'm not going to write it down here in case my mum's reading it. And of course the expenses don't end there - the disks are different, so I needed to order four new disks at £90 a time. I'll probably need to get more gears (though some are provided in the extensive spares kit). But I don't regret it in the slightest!
The spares kit is pretty good, containing a crank, two cylinders, ten pistons, different first, third and sixth gears, and endless gaskets and minor bits.
My first meeting on the new bike will be the Bemsee meeting at Brands on 23rd/24th April. In the meantime, I may get a chance to test it, either at Mallory on a Wednesday afternoon, or at a track day at Donnington on the 17th.
I can't wait!
